Not good for laser levels
The packaging wasn't great, so it arrived with the height adjust handle broken off.I bought it to use with a 3-axis laser level, but I should have given it more thought. It's only useful working 4.5+ ft above the ground. The stand itself will block vertical projections to the floor. The legs don't "lock" out but use a chain to stop extension. I find that when I need to adjust the height or horizontal position, one or more legs will creep in changing the height and level. It doesn't have a built-in bubble level, so it's difficult to adjust the legs and know when you're close to level.I've thought about building a side-mounted pole that would allow me to position my laser level below 4 feet, but this could be more hassle than it's worth.Maybe two stars is harsh, but so far, I've found limited use for it.

Never got to try it out.
Plastic leg clamp was broken when it arrived, heavy duty feel but lots of plastic parts that could easily break and render it useless. I returned the product.
