Tastes just like Ito En
I got this tea because I love tea and when it comes to Japanese green teas, I was looking for something like Ito En. Whether I make it normally or cold brew it, it has a sweet earthy flavor and when cold brewed, tastes no different than Ito En bottled tea. The color is a bit more amber than the usual green tint, it's due to infusing it more than once in the picture. For the cost vs having to buy a bottle of Ito En or in bulk, this is inexpensive and you control the strength too.

Best Tea
If you like a good tasting green tea this is it! Some green teas can have a harsh or bitter taste to them but this one does NOT. I'VE tried many green teas online and everywhere I go. This one is by far MY FAVORITE. It has the health benefits of green tea but still the smooth taste that I enjoy. If you are looking for the health benefits here is a tip: when you make your tea, boil your water and then let it sit for about 1-2 min then add the hot water to your cup with the tea bag in it. Don't boil the water with the tea bag in it or put boiling water on the tea, that can degrade the tea reducing many of the health benefits. And try to make sure once you open your bag of tea you keep the tea in a sealed container/bag to prevent oxidation. Just some tips to get the most out of this amazing tea😊

A delicious green tea
I got this green tea on sale, and I am glad I did! It is grassy like matcha, but less bitter. It arrived quickly, will buy again!

Good sencha, but not fantastic
A good basic sencha for the price. Brewed 2.5g per 100ml water, 80c/176f, 60s first steep/30s second/150s third. The good:Tastes like a basic Sencha. Looking at the leaves, smelling the leaves, it isn't low quality and cheaply/badly processed sencha that's common in cheapest-to-produce "sencha" made outside of Japan.Doesn't taste stale. Probably 2021 harvest if I had to guess, but I could be wrong. Not a bad everyday Sencha. The not great:It says on the bag it uses a mix of Spring (Ichibancha/first flush, the most sought after harvest) and Summer (Nibancha, second flush) tea leaves. You can definitely tell that it isn't a standard first flush sencha, though that doesn't mean it's a bad tea.The flavor is pretty light considering it's a fukamushicha, which are known for their deep, strong, brothy flavors/mouthfeel. My best guess is that this tea is mostly second flush with some first flush leaves mixed in to balance out the flavor, deep steamed to bring out better flavor compared to a standard later flush tea rather than deep steamed for the trademark Fukamushi tasting profile. Another giveaway is the color of the liquor, it's not the strong, almost completely opaque green that you normally get from a deep steamed sencha.Overall, like I said earlier, not a bad everyday sencha. You can definitely get better quality for the same price, but you'd have to be willing to spend a lot more money in a single purchase to make shipping cost worth it direct from Japan or pay a premium for already imported tea.

Excellent tea
Once in a while I order other sencha products, but when I return to the Sugimoto I'm reminded that this is better than any other I've tried. Don't make a purchase decision based on a few dollars difference in cost. This is worth every penny.

Let's read!
As a profuse tea drinker I look for good to high quality tea. Anyways this tea was decent with a some flaws and downside. The leaves are all cut up and in small Pisces. They are green however. Smell pleasantly mild grassy. Most are tiny particles to dust powder. That's a sign of lower grade of tea.The brewing process is simple. I used filtered water, hot but not boiled.Steeped for a good 15 minutes since I like my tea on the stronger side. The color is light green with a little hint of yellow. But definitely not bright green like the manufacturer photo. The taste is mild with a slight hint of sweetness as it enter the front of my tongue, which quickly turned to stringent experience. However it didn't linger for too long.On the third brew, the tea completely died and turned yellow as in the last photo. On a scale of 10 as high end tea, this would score maybe 5. Good for 3 brews. No more.

Just like the tea I enjoyed in Japan
Prepared according to the instructions, this tea brings back fond memories of visiting Japan. It's subtle, aromatic, balanced; not too grassy or earthy. I find it a pleasant way to start the day.

Really nice tea
I guess it depends on your taste, but I really like this green with roasted rice loose leaf tea. In fact, I will buy it again.
