Ash Glazes Hardcover – February 12, 2003

I was surprised at how much useful information is found in this book. The author not only covers ash glazes but the interactions of glaze materials that can apply to any potter interested in glazes in general. While mos of the photos I've seen of ash glazes are mostly similar, the author introduces the use of ash as a powerful ingredient for use in glazes not normally associated with them.

I do ceramics on the side as a hobby and this book has added so much more knowledge to my ceramics. I can't wait to try out some of these methods.

This was a birthday present for my brother, who makes his own pottery and has a small workshop. He says this is an interesting topic, which this book explains thoroughly and that he will be spurred to try some soon.

Awsome book. Well writen. Good pics. I look forward to using this information to create my own ash glazes.

A great book by Phil Rogers, if you are a potter and like ash glazes this book is for you.

I love the ideas in this book - however I do not have the necessary equipment to get the end results.

That book is quite iconic for ceramists and potters and I would never imagine to find it on Amazone ! I did and get it in a very short time. The book deals with Ash Glazes for potteries and ceramics and the author Phil Rogers not only provided a large overview of the technic but he kindly shared lot of experience he did and even how to get closed results by using oxidation firing.Let me tell you that this book is really a fundamental ! I was happy to find it on Amazon and to get it delivered ! That's the reason I am giving the highest rate for that "product".
