Handy set, decent price, avoid a trip to the hardware store.
Exactly as advertised. They really are all steel--which is something I need because I get what my co-workers call "the crazy eyes" when a crappy zinc screw shears off in my work piece. They are all Philips head. Nuts outnumber matching screws by one, a nice touch for the one that rolls down the drain / falls into the intake manifold / is eaten by the dog.I would have loved to have some smaller machine screws, but the spread of this set is plenty for survival use and the price is good as such things tend to run. I note that the latches on the plastic storage case are just a bit suspiciously light, so I'm keeping a rubber band around the case to avoid trouble. Ships with a labelled card showing which parts are in which bins, and the dividers in the bins actually come out so when you re-use you have a modicum of flexibility as to arrangement of the compartments. The contents list offered by Amazon is correct but I'll add for you a couple of details on the the machine screws, as follows:19pc #10-24 x 1"24pc #10-24 x 3/4"49pc #10-24 hex nut10pc 1/4"-20 x 3/4"11pc 1/4"-20 hex nutThere's no brand on my set but it seems to be "by GS Tool."

Good collection of fasteners
I had a box of screws, bolts and washers like this a long time ago and it was very helpful when I needed a couple of items to fasten or replace something. A few times a screw would fall out of a lounge chair and it was handy to have a box like this. This box is similar to what I used to have and I will be replacing a couple of screws in a day or two whenever I can get around to it. There are a few different sizes of these boxes on Amazon and you can look for whatever size you need.

Arrived an assorted mess!
So my biggest beef with this fastener set is that the lid on the box doesn't fit as snugly as it should. So apparently if the box is tipped upside down and jostled around the fasteners will go everywhere and end up out of their intended spot. That's exactly what happened and how I received these fasteners from Amazon. See pics. Everything was so completely randomized that I just dumped them out and resorted all 347 pieces. 20 minutes of my life gone! Now I suppose Amazon delivery should take some of the heat for this. But a better design would have made this a non-issue. Also, the set includes a lot more of the very small fasteners which will very rarely be used by me. Less of the bigger and more expensive fasteners. I feel they are trying to increase the advertised numbers in this way. Still, it's a lot for the money compared to the hardware store and will be very handy to have on hand.

one thing I like about this kit is that all screws are Phillips ...
I am an electrician and do most of my car and home repairs. As a do it yourselfer you will need a kit that contains common bolts, screws and nuts. This kit is a life safer in a plastic box. The kit has metal, plastic and wood screws for almost every project and comes with the nuts and bolts to complete the work. one thing I like about this kit is that all screws are Phillips head (star shaped), easy to work with a screwdriver or an electrical driver. The pieces are zinc plated making them resistant to rust and corrosion. The plastic box keeps every piece in place and very easy to find (if they are organized). It comes with a display paper that shows every piece and their measurements. This kit is a MUST HAVE. The case is sturdy and easy to store, the box doesn’t open easily when stored.

Save time and money: you can't go wrong!
Here's your choice: go to Ace hardware, knowing that they have nearly every kind of screw, bolt, nail, nut, washer etc., look around till you find what works, and buy a pack of six for a buck and a half. The next time you need a small nut or bolt or screw, repeat. Then repeat.Don't get me wrong: I LOVE ACE hardware. I also like to not spend any more time than necessary to get a task complete.I have used hardware from this assortment for three different projects at three different occasions, and reduced my search time to minutes, no gas burned, no standing at the cash register. If this assortment saved me just one trip, it was worth the money. Since I still have almost the entire original assortment after using something from it on three occasions, I am sure I will find future use for this stuff. If you do little things around the house and find yourself looking for small parts like this, you can't go wrong!

Decent hardware. Terrible container
The actual screws and washers are fine. But the plastic container they come in arrived thoroughly broken. All the hardware spilled out into the envelope.

Fit the vinyl standoffs
I am building a radio from scratch. The M3 black vinyl screws for the circuit board standoffs were too short to go through the framing, so bought these to see if they would work. They worked great. It is also nice to have metal screws in the framing with lock washers. The threading on the vinyl standoffs an these screws is the same.

Spend your time...How??
You can keep an eye open for nuts, bolts, screws and a million other essentials, or you can buy them all at once on Amazon. I prefer the second way, and I'm delighted with the scope and breadth of the items included in the purchase. Highly recommended for those that have more important things to do than go around with eyes on the ground looking for nuts and bolts!
