See the video and you'll see exactly how we did it. If you have quite a few, I recommend making a template with a level to make them go up fast and accurate.

Oh I had such hopes for these French Cleats. I had bought 2 shelves at goodwill that did not come with hardware to install them. They were floating shelves. So I researched online and found these French Cleats a great alternative to buying the Ballard Designs hardware. I spent 3 hours methodically finding studs, screwing in holes on the walls and on the actual shelves. Bottom line is once I lined up everything and hung it on the wall, the cleat could not support this shelf (and this shelf is under the weight limit for these). What looks normal in a couple of pictures, the shelf would not fit flush to the wall and had a 1 cm gap. The cleats could not support this type of shelf. I lost 3 hours of my life and am now taking these shelves to goodwill which really isn't a measure of goodwill as I know it will frustrate the heck out of the next sucker that buys them. I'll also donate the cleats. I missed my window to return these as we all delay our projects sometimes. So unfortunately I did not give the company a chance to make this right and for that, I'll give an extra star so I don't give the 1's all around that I want to. Bottom line, if you are a NASA genius or are hanging a lightweight object, then you can probably figure these out. Not me.

This item worked just as advertised and I like that it came with the rubber bumpers for the bottom of the picture. The included wall anchors did seem pretty cheap and I ended up using my own, more heavy duty ones I purchased from home depot. The anchors included I wouldn't trust to the weight that the metal rails can actually hold. Thats why its 4 stars and not 5. But with the the better anchors in place, this mount works great.

You can get these from and hardware store it is used for carpet transition. I just did not want to have to Cut and Drill holes to make them. Time is money you know :). They come with every thing but the little level, but I do not want to sound like I am asking for to much. Anchors where lets say not good at all. But thats not what your buying here. It is just a plus they come with them.

Have never used cleats for hanging before and was a bit skeptical. Once I saw how they worked, I thought it was a brilliant way to hang heavy objects! It is extremely easy to hook the frame's cleat onto the wall's cleat (unlike wires and hooks, which are ALWAYS a challenge when hanging a heavy object - need 3 hands to do it!). HIGHLY recommend. Am sold on french cleats for all large hanging needs.

Perfect for hanging a whiteboard on the wall behind a desk. It’s easy to take down so my daughter can update weekly what she needs to accomplish for school. Easy to Install and has multiple holes for attaching to the wall- makes it easy to attach to studs rather than using the anchors. Even came with little bumper pads for the corners in the back so the wall does not get scratched up.

The french cleat is a great way to hang large objects, whiteboards, mirrors, shelves, headboards etc to walls. This is more like a teaching representation of the concept, but is too small to use for for these items, and too large for hanging most pictures. The screws and plastic anchors supplied are useless, and would need to be replaced with longer, sturdier fasteners from the hardware store for any real world applications. Easily 3 times more expensive than the materials warrant-- I would recommend a trip to a home improvement store instead.

These hangers are great! Used to hang a mirror in the bathroom and it worked like a charm. Can’t recommend them enough. The mirror hangs straight and flat agains the wall. Very easy to attach and hang. Wish I had found these earlier.
