I had my doubts about these, but they really are easy to use and to remove. They are strong. We’ve used them for years without a single complaint.

We have many clocks in the house - three are battery operated gifts from friends over the years. The battery operated clocks were put up without much preparation and have been an aggravation for years every time the season dictates resetting the time. All three were mounted using a brad nail on a painted wall which is a terrible way to mount a clock. All the adhesive hangers discouraged use on painted walls. The only mechanical hanger that made sense was the curved ones which I've always thought were a good idea. The first clock I changed was accomplished in a few seconds. The second clock (which I thought would be easy) took much longer. There was something in the wall.I took two pairs of pliers and bent the hook a little more dramatically to bypass the item in the wall. It took a while but I eventually got it to work. Now I have two of the three clocks hung properly. I need a ladder to get at the third clock so that will be done eventually. These picture hangers are a great idea and work great for walls that don't have hidden things in them. Even then, the hook and a couple of pairs of pliers can make the work too. It's a great idea and works like a charm. Highly recommended.
