So, I hate to leave such a negative review. I loved the rug initially, aside from tons and tons of never ending dust/carpet fibers. I sweep and dust much more often... however, I liked the look of the rug with my decor. At first. 9 months later, however, it’s coming COMPLETELY apart. I’m adding pictures of the areas that are coming undone. I’m almost wondering if we got a defective rug, because these are NOT high traffic areas where the rug is walked on much. We had to move the end of the rug up underneath the couch because it was fraying so badly, but now the side of the rug is doing the same thing. I still can’t figure out how or why this is happening because no one even sits in this area where their shoes might begin to fray the rug. I’m super disappointed. We don’t have an enormous budget, and I was really excited to have a nice rug for such a good price, and now it already needs to be replaced. I wouldn’t suggest buying this rug, unless you’re only going to look at, or it’s going in a space that’s mostly unused. My mom has owned multiple rugs in this style, and I’ve seen hers wear, and not nearly this severely, after several years - not months. I’m typically really happy with the Safavieh brand, but not this time.

This rug is the most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me. I saw the reviews about dirt, but there were also rave reviews, and I really, really liked the look of this rug. I decided to give it a chance, hoping the dirt reviews were somehow a fluke. Worst. Decision. Ever. The reviews about dirt are no exaggeration - quite the opposite! They don't do the problem justice! Immediately after opening the plastic, I noticed dirt. Everywhere. I decided to unroll the rug a bit and try to vacuum it, as one reviewer suggested. It quickly became apparent that this was a ridiculous effort. I vacuumed a dozen times, but with each shift of the rug, more dirt appeared. It is a thick, heavy, woven rug. There is no way you can just shake the dirt out. It is like someone buried it in their garden, dug it up, shook it out a little, and delivered it to your doorstep. It even smells like thick, wet dirt. The smell got stronger the longer it was out of the plastic. I could smell it from the next room. I am not one of those people who can't stand "natural" smells. But this smells like someone dug up a few wheelbarrowfuls of dirt after a rainstorm, and dumped it in your living room. I would not use this rug on a patio or in a shed, much less in the house! The only people who would like this rug are people who live with 10 dogs and 5 goats, and frankly I think even they would have qualms about it. I would give it no stars if I could. I don't know how Amazon can sell something like this. The only good thing I can say is the return process was relatively painless. There was no return shipping charge, and you can ask UPS to pick it up for you. I nearly wept for joy when the USP guy came to lug this disgusting thing out of my house forever.

I love this rug. It works perfect under my dining room table. I was concerned about the reviews regarding dirt and dust so I unrolled it outside on the patio and vacuumed it on both sides before bringing it in. There was a lot, but I've had no issues since. It is natural fiber and a loose weave (the look I wanted) so there are occasional loose fibers and ends that need tucked after the Roomba goes over it.

After reading reviews, I went with this rug. I'm so glad I did. It looks great!! I noticed a lot of people saying it caused a lot of dirt but one reviewer suggested vacuuming the bottom side before putting it down the right side up. I did that and it doesn't seem to be leaving the dust that others are showing (see photo). So I also recommend doing that. It is not rough on the feet. My animals haven't tried to turn it into a potty so no issue there. I got some denim couch covers that haven't been delivered yet but I think that it will go really well with this rug. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Love this rug. It's not super friendly on bare feet but my husband loves walking on it with socks says it gives him a massage. It's a gorgeous jute rug. I ordered the natural color.

This rug is beautiful and now the word you're waiting for... but... it scratched the living daylights out of our hard wood. There are places where the rug is coming unraveled. Lastly the rug sheds a lot of dirt. This bothers me a lot less than other reviewers, I know when people come into my home they're not going to be looking under my rugs. It is however a significant amount of dirt that somehow always present.I'm mostly sad about the hardwood floors. I'm going to have to figure out a way to fix them before we move (rental). If you have hardwood, I would suggest you get a pad for underneath the rug. We found out too late, but now you know!!

This rug is WONDERFUL!!! Same as offered on Wayfair, at a much lower cost. Arrived quickly(ahead of schedule), packaged well, easy to get placed in room. There was no smell, as others indicated, and the weave was consistent and beautiful. So happy with this purchase, the rug looks almost exactly like one I was considering at Pottery Barn, but at less than half the price and much less hassle ordering. I HIGHLY recommend!In response to the person who had negative review about the dust, ...GET A RUG PAD!!! All natural rugs need them!! ❤❤❤ this rug!!Flipping the rug (and vacuuming when doing so), also is recommended. Do it to increase the life of your Rug!

The description reads natural fibers. I can only assume they did not clean said natural fibers at any point. It will dump a TON of dirt like material on your floor and ruin any finish on wood. Those who say they love it in their review must never look underneath it. Beautiful rug, worst purchase ever for a rug.... You can see how much dirt is dumped out. I took this as soon as I pulled the rug up. This is after being on my floor for 2 weeks...

1. Nubby texture underfoot.2. Not good for child's play area as its too textural3. Colours are fantastic, for a beach or rustic decor. The look is what I love the best about this rug.4 No issues with dampness5 Was not a perfect 8x10, as it was short in one corner by 1 inch. I just cut my underlayment shorter. The imperfection was livable.6. Needs Underlayment7. Not as soft as wool. Softness is just Ok. Livable. Just be aware that it has a textured knot your walking on.

Does not look like the picture. When I received the rug it is VERY rough and has hand tied knots all throughout making it look messy. It leaves a ton of dust on the floor is super thick and awful to walk on. I paid a ton of money to get these shipped back and the manufacturer requires a bunch of proof to return. Highly do not recommend these. Buyer beware!!

I bought the natural 8x10 and it arrived on my doorstep in a few days. I had been hesitating over buying this rug for a few months because there were some bad reviews, but if you’re looking for a good quality, natural jute rug that is affordable and quickly delivered, this is it.There is fallout under the rug, so when I’m vacuuming I go under the rug as well and after vacuuming a few times, the dust/tiny grass particles/dirt I find seems to be reducing. I don’t mind this at all because it remains under the rug until I clean it.I also have two golden retrievers who adore playing and napping on this rug. I use a brushless vacuum and it scoops up the dog hair very nicely, so it’s pet friendly! Not necessarily puppy friendly, because my little one tried to bite the rug in a few places and it became damaged where he tried to chew. I don’t know if this means my puppy is a very talented chewer or if the rug came apart easily. I don’t care, I’ll be replacing this rug with the exact same one when the puppy phase is over 😂Décoration wise, I get a compliment from every single guest that comes through my door, and everyone is surprised to hear I ordered it off Amazon. It adds a lovely texture to my space and feels nice under the feet. It’s not soft, but not too rough. It’s been softening the more we step on it and the more the dogs play.Overall, 5/5 for quality:cost ratio, delivery speed, and product is pretty much exactly what you would expect from the pictures and descriptions from the seller (unless you’re me, who drastically under estimates how big 8x10 is and is very, very, surprised when it arrives)Happy shopping! Loved the look. Natural, rustic, bumpy and knotty (no pun intended). Lends a very organic feel to a room.The negative. I’ve found they shed fine straw fibres more than I like. I have other wovens w jute that seem to have a waxier finish on the fibres. More treated perhaps. The main issue being black clothing... stay clear of the floor... and don’t drop your blacks and Navies....hard when u have little’s.I recommend vacuuming without a rotary so as not to damage the fibres, and vacuum often. Shake every so often....But over all. I love my rugs 🥰

We bought this as an entryway rug and I really like it. I like how thick it is. You might note, though, that our robot vacuum won't go up over the edges to clean it on its own. That doesn't bother me as I manually vacuum my entry rugs. I would buy it again.
