Truly the best book I've ever read.
This book is absolutely a life changer. It is truly inspiring to read about this remarkable Christian man that only wanted to serve God and didn't care what anyone else thought about how he went about that. James Bryan Smith did a wonderful job telling this story. You will laugh, cry, and just be humbled when you read this. One of the best reads I have ever had.

The above
It is well written and has much material in it from Rich Mullins himself.

powerful book
Spiritually profound book - worth getting. Easy read and full of information about Rich's life, but, more importantly, it points to Jesus and our relationship with Him all along the way.

content vs presentation
The content of this book is compelling enough, and I liked reading the background and the lyrics for many of Rich Mullins songs. But the presentation of the content was choppy, and read like a lengthy obituary.

Awsome read
Wonderful insight to his life. It is not a doubt that he is in Heaven with His Heavenly father where he wanted to be.

Love Rich Mullins; found this book hard to read
Sadly, I agree with the other reviewer who said that the book reads like a lengthy obituary. I had such high hopes as I simply love Rich Mullins and the Ragamuffin culture and take on Christianity as a whole. I purchased recently and am still trying to wade through, or jump around, just to find nuggets that I can take to heart in better understanding this wonderful artist and child of God. I am not able to connect with the writer's style, which I find wordy and distracting, and the book lacks the kind of antidotes and first person accounts common to great biographies that would have allowed me to better feel Rich's life and God's love. I am sorry to say so as it seems the author wrote this as a labor of love, but for me it is a hard read.
