I found this basket on a list of "The Best Dog Bike Baskets: Safe Bicycle Riding with Dogs" and this basket was listed as #2 (to be honest, I'm not sure why the #1 was listed as #1 - it looks...odd), but this one should have been #1! I'll put the details below my review. I agree with every point they make.My Yorkie is 10 lbs. We previously had the #3 on the list: Snooze Buddy Dog Basket. It was a great basket. I loved it, but I sold my bike and I couldn't detach the basket attachment thingy since it rusted on over ten years. However, I did have a few issues with it - the attachment thingy dug into the basket so much that it was pressed up against my dog, which really limited her space inside the basket, although otherwise, she fit fine. The other thing is that it was not sturdy. It slid from side to side as we rode and as she moved around inside.The biggest consideration when purchasing this basket was finding a sturdy basket, as finding a basket for her size isn't too difficult. With that being said, she has a great amount of room in this basket. She jumped right in when we took it out of the box and she NEVER does that. This little basket is great quality. Super sturdy interior wire basket with plenty of padding for my little dogs. The installation was super easy. I was a little nervous at first it wouldn’t work with my handle bars but it went on perfectly. Both of my dogs were super comfortable and I love that it has two different tethers and pockets on the sides. The only thing that would make it better would be bigger pockets and some on the backside that are easier to reach when riding. Other than that I love it!

I was impressed with this product. The basket is sturdy and well made. The instructions were clear and we were able to get it installed on my bike in about 15 minutes with no problems. My pooch (a 16 lb cairn terrier) fits well in the basket. He did well on a quick test ride in the neighborhood. Riders should expect that the handling of the bike, especially steering, will feel different with your pooch in the basket, especially if your dog is on the heavier side of the allowed weight range. Just takes getting used to. Great features of this product: lots of colors to choose from, pockets on the basket for accessories & bottle, basket locks onto the bike securely, bike mount has rubberized washers to protect your bike's paint, basket has a handle so that you can easily carry it with you at your destination. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This product is amazing. Very well made and sturdy. My french bulldog weighs 30 lbs and it supports her weight with any problem. I was hesitant to buy because of her weight. I 100% recommend it.

This company charges a restocking fee. The metal end of the carry handles that attached the basked to the installed bike hardware broke and injured my 6 pound Pomeranian of of course while trying to save the dog, I was scraped up. The basked is great, the easy attachment to bike is great, but the attachment is very dangerous because it snaps. I purchased this basket is 2018 and loved it until it snapped on the third ride on a flat bike path, no more the a total of ten miles put on the basket. I recently reordered the same basket--years later, from the same store on Amazon in hopes that they have found a safer attachment. They still are using the same form of attachment. I'm sending it back and actually feel safer using a basket I just ordered that uses several velcro straps instead of a metal handle that snaps and cost 1/4th of this price.

This basket is so much better than the previous one I had. Very sturdy and durable.I bike with my dog several times a week and this basket provides me with great peace of mind that my dog won't fall out. Excellent quality.I have owned this for over one year so I can attest that this basket will last.

I own a mini goldendoodle she is an f1b so on the smaller spectrum of the minis. She is absolutely comfortable in this basket. It is extremely sturdy with a full wire construction and easy to install, if you know how to install a bell on your bike(super simple) you can install the bracket. I love the fact that when not in use it is easily removed for storage. I ride a mountain bike so I was happy to see that this basket fit. Most baskets have a hard time adjusting to the small space betwee the front wheel and the handel bars but as long as your bike meets the required minimum you are in luck. And for everyone asking how much weight can it hold, I assure you it as long as your furbaby fits it will hold. What I did was cut a piece of cardboard to the size of the dimensions of the botom of the basket. She sat on the piece of cardboard with room to spare.

did a 20 mile ride. on first ride the bottom bracket that goes against the bike is not designed properly had to stop and re position it 2 times. It kept sliding down i was actually afraid my buddy would fall out . i tightened the heck out of it. should have bolts to keep it tight instead of Phillips head screws which you can only get so tight . I am a auto mechanic of 35 years. so i prob. installed it correctly.. I have a 15 lb. Pomeranian..im not satisfied....... for a pet basket that cost $95 ...... the basket itself is nice and comfy tho .

Assembly was easy and the basket is very comfortable but there is a major flaw in the mounting. The basket is held on by a metal hook at the top of the mounting bracket which seemed fine at first. Went out on a bike ride with my dog in the basket (10 pound yorkie-poo so not that heavy) and the hook broke off. I was on a flat trail and was not going fast at all. As the hook is the only piece keeping the basket on, the hook breaking off sent the basket and my dog flying and crashed on the ground. Luckily the way the basket landed ended up not hurting my dog but this scared me and is very unsafe! Upon inspection, the hook is only held on by a very small circle of welding on each side. This needs to be welded way better than it currently is. This is a safety hazard and am currently in the process of returning the basket.

Exactly as it was described - easy to use. The product is great but riding with a 22lb dog on the front of your bike when your not the greatest cyclist has proven difficult and somewhat dangerous. I recommend the product for especially with experienced cyclists and smaller dogs.

Very sturdy and well built. Does take a bit getting used to riding with 16 lb dog on front of bike.
