Awesome for vertically challenged folks!
I own a 2013 Silverado 3500 and until I got this tailgate ladder, I kept a 3-step folding aluminum ladder tied in the bed with a bunggy cord! Love my truck, but the suspension is so high I couldn't get in the bed without a box or ladder to step up on, let alone check my oil or anything under the hood*! This ladder was easy to install and took about 20 minutes from the start of collecting the tools needed, to finishing the install and having them all put away.My only complaint, although they thought of every thing else, was the lack of two large 1/2" diameter flat washers for the screws to secure the tie-down strap with. The strap has little metal grommets stuck in the strap webbing at each end for the screws (rivet style), but there's nothing to keep the weight of the ladder from pulling them out and ripping the strap off that holds the ladder in place when not in use! A search through my spare nuts and bolts bin produced two 1/2" diameter flat washers to secure the strap, and I was finished! It's so much easier and quicker to get in and out of the bed now without having to untie the folding aluminum step ladder I carried around that was always in the way and bouncing around being noisy. This ladder stays put and out of the way against the tailgate when not in use. And no noise when driving down the road bouncing around! Ladder is solidly built too! Awesome!*BTW, I also solved the under-the-hood-access problem with a Heavy Duty Tire Step for Trucks and SUV's found on Amazon here --> https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002Q8TWI . I actually bought two of them; one for each side so when accessing/working under the hood, and/or needing to load or reach things in the bed from the side. I've got all angles covered now regarding easy access to my high suspension diesel truck! Neat tools that are worth every penny! Get yours now and stop complaining every time you need to get in and out of the bed, or up under the hood!!! - Enjoy!

Easy Access to 2021 RAM 2500
Outstanding product and easy install! I bought this with a couple of concerns. The first concern was I wondered if the added weight on the tailgate would impact my DeeZee aftermarket Tailgate Assist. It did not, tailgate assist still works perfectly! Second concern was if it would interfere with my tonneau cover and it did not. I have a Gator SFX tri-fold soft cover and no issues at all. I believe this should work fine with most soft covers. I mounted 1" down from the top of the tailgate and 1.5" back from the edge of the tailgate. This worked well for clearance from the tonneau but one arm does just barely press against the tailgate cable when the ladder is deployed. I'll only be using this occasionally so I don't anticipate a problem. Even if it did result in damage to the tailgate cable I'd see it as a minor inconvenience compared to the benefit of ladder. Install was super fast, about 20 minutes in the rain. Lots of mounting options for the base plate make installing a breeze. Self tapping screws worked much better than I anticipated. I used a combination of the two sizes because of my tailgate design. Ladder height is easily set by a couple bolts and the ladder can easily be removed by pulling a pair of pins. I'm 5'11" 290lbs and the ladder is very solid, no flex. The step height is perfect and the top step is higher than the Mopar deployable bed step or the after market hitch steps making it easiest to get in and out. Lastly I was a little concerned about rattle as I noticed some other reviews made mention. There is no rattle whatsoever even driving on the bumpiest of roads. Be sure to use the nylon bushings on the connector pins and place the tie down strap between the first and second step as described in the directions and this should stay put with no added noise.

Great ladder. Great customer service
The truck ladder was pretty easy to install and much better than trying to jump up into the truck bed.I had to contact the sellers, Beechlane, for a additional part and Jack was so quick to answer my email and get the part mailed out to me. The quality of this ladder is top notch!Leilani

Best dang thing I've bought for this truck!
I'm 265# and in my 50s. I resisted going this route because I was heck bent on maintaining my youth by being able to climb in and out and up and down from my truck bed. OMG. What a dummy. This thing went on easy, handles my weight fine and is just downright luscious! GET ONE!!!!

Beech Lane Pickup Truck Tailgate Ladder works well for a buddy of mine
A buddy of mine is getting up in years, just like I am, and getting in and out of his truck bed is not as easy as it used to be. I purchased this ladder for him as a Christmas present based on the ratings. We mounted it on the tailgate of his 2017 Ford F150 one Saturday; took us maybe a hour because we were in no rush, and talked more than we worked. The pre-drilled holes for ladder length were not quite right, so we redrilled new holes and mounted it. We erred; the ladder was not parallel to the top of the tailgate when folded. So, we held the ladder parallel to the top of the tailgate, and redrilled new holes for ladder length on one side. It fits perfectly, just like shown in the photo. He very much likes his tailgate ladder; no more killed knees climbing into the truck bed. The ladder is nice and light, but construction is good, and more than plenty strong to hold his weight. He and I both expect that it will last several years. All required hardware is provided (good quality hardware), we just required a drill motor and a few drill bits and drive bits. Nylon locknuts were provided, but we used blue Locktite anyway. The steps are not slippery, even with his wet shoes, which was my concern. Ladder does not rattle while he is driving. Ladder is easy to pull out, easy to stow, and a breeze to use. I think he said he mounted a handhold into the stake pocket in that corner, which helped, but was not necessary, just convenient. Overall, he loves his Christmas present. Both he and I are happy with the purchase.
