We needed a hefty car phone holder for our new Samsung A14 5G phones. These phones are pretty big and heavy. We had no problems fitting this phone to the holder. The holder had plenty of width. As far as length make sure to pull out the bottom all the way for the big phones as it will make it seem the holder, lengthwise, is not so out of balance. First, we tested the phone holder in our car using the vent clip. While the clip held the phone very securely, this particular model of phone is heavy, and the phone was bobbing up and down quite vigorously and led me to believe that eventually the vent louvers would break, especially in an older car. Over the long term this may have not been true but the bobbing up and down was a little unnerving so we decided to instead install on a flat part of the dash using the puck, and positioned the holder and the phone so that the bottom part of the holder was slightly resting on the dash to prevent the bobbing up and down issue. A smaller, lighter phone would probably not need to do this, or you may be able to get away with the vent clip which is easy to use, but does block your vent. We installed the puck according to instructions and have been using it. No problems with the holder coming off the puck, or even pretending to detach. We love that the phone is also easy to get off the holder with the press of a small button under the holder arm on the left side. We have not had issues finding this button when taking the phone out either. This is a higher priced phone holder but if it does what it is supposed to do every day, it is worth the money. We also bought one to install in our truck and we did the puck install again on the dash. Recently we took a multi-day trip and the holder performed flawlessly. We hope the holder will continue to hold up over the long term but does appear to be well made.

(This is an update to my original review where I gave only one-star, complaining that the adhesive on the mounting plates would not stick to my iPhone case and therefore returned the unit for a refund. I now must admit this was an UNFAIR review which, humbly, I will explain below.)PROBLEM SOLVED!I found this unit after purchasing several other mounting devices, none of which would work on either of my vehicles. In fact, one of the units I purchased was $85 and worthless and could not get a refund! It seemed this magnetic phone mount was exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the first time, after several attempts at mounting the several self-adhesive metal plates, the strong magnet would snap the plate right off the case...until......after my original review the good people at Vicseed reached out to me to help solve my problem, sending me a new unit for free to try again. In the meantime I did some research, learning that my case is made from polycarbonate plastic which is notorious for repelling adhesives. There is also “mold release”, an oil that remains on such cases after manufacture that gives the polycarbonate a somewhat “greasy” feel. Turns out this was NO FAULT OF THE ADHESIVE, but a problem with the iPhone case material!This time around, instead of using the water-based cleaning pad supplied in the box, I took a chance and vigorously rubbed the back of the case with acetone solvent to remove all possible oils. This extreme solvent is notorious for melting plastics, so I was concerned it would damage the plastic case, but I was willing to take the chance. Fortunately, though, the acetone did no damage whatsoever to the slick, clear polycarbonate finish! (WARNING: Do not try acetone on any material other than polycarbonate or on any case with a printed pattern!)I then carefully positioned and applied the self-adhesive metal plate, adding considerable pressure, placing a book on top to keep pressure constant on the plate. After waiting 30 minutes or so I tested the magnet, snapping it on and off to the plate, doing so repeatedly. The plate remained tightly in place to my great satisfaction!WHAT I LIKE:• The mounting unit is small, light, very discreet. I like how my iPhone appears to “float” on the dash without those big, bulky side clamps featured on other units I have tried that seem to interfere with the side buttons on the phone.• Unit is very sturdy, versatile, and with a simple twist clamps tightly to either horizontal or vertical air vent louvers (I have either in my two cars.)• The ball-and-socket mount adjusts the phone to just the right viewing angle, and with a twist clamps down tight.• Because the phone is mounted magnetically, I can place the phone in vertical or horizontal position at will without having to re-adjust the mount.• The magnet is very strong, holding my iPhone tightly, even when riding on rough, dirt roads in my SUV with stiff suspension.• The price is right!• The Vicseed customer service person was GREAT, converting me back into a loyal customer! I will be purchasing additional units for my other car and pickup.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS UNIT!!===============================* As a side note, this item is made in China so the instructions have been translated into awkward English e.g. "...the phone firmly absorb on the car mount by magnetic principle." A minor inconvenience. Any questions you have will be answered immediately by Customer Service.

I have no idea if this product works because it didn’t come with any magnets.EDIT: The seller contacted me and sent me a replacement product almost immediately. Once I received the magnets, I was able to give the product a try and so far, my only complaint is that it’s a little too heavy for my air vents. It drags the vent down so I can’t really aim it anywhere. It’s not too big of a deal but it can be frustrating in a hot central Texas environment where every AC vent counts. But the magnets are strong, hold well, and even work through my phone case. I don’t often utilize wireless charging so I’m afraid I have no idea how it works with the magnets.

This cell phone car mount works great. Quick and easy to install and doesn’t take up a lot of space. I had a shipping problem (Amazon sent the wrong product) and their customer service was amazing and definitely went above and beyond to help me. They got the right product to me very quickly and were so helpful! Will definitely recommend this product to my friends!

Strong magnet hold phone in perfect location, only problem is, I have 4 vehicles, some of the vents in the older cars are not strong enough to keep the vent open while this holder is in use. Holds phone anyway you attach it, strong magnet all picks anything up out of the bottom of your bad too!!! LOL

EXCELLENT QUALITY

I didn't like the idea I had to stick the magnet on my phone, especially as it was new, but then you can't have everything... The product is very sturdy, the magnets very strong and it's very easy to use. My longest driving, four hours continuously, and the phone didn't move a bit. Very good product, highly recommend it!

It's solid and sturdyI like the rubber inserts as it doesn't damage your vents. So easy to assemble. Bought one for a friend also

This is an excellent product. Perfect car mount solution. Simple to fit. (installed in seconds). Strong robust product that holds the phone securely but allows for easy attachment and removal. A bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Would recommend.
