These bits drill through ceramic tile as advertised.
In an attempt to install a handicap bar in our shower I discovered just how hard real ceramic tiles are. I started with a standard 1/8" carbide tip bit. It would not even scratch the surface. Next I used a very small Dremel ball bit to make a starter hole. I was able to make a small indentation but in the process wore out the Dremel ball bit. I again tried the carbide bit but it was a waste of time. I accomplished nothing.I searched Amazon and found these bits. They were a bit spendy but the ratings were very good and most of the top ratings appeared to be by people who knew what they were doing. These bits are amazing. The box comes with two 2 ea. for the 6mm size. I started drilling using a water sprayer to clear the tailings every 30 sec. I also spun the bit in a water container every 30 sec. to cool it. I was shocked at how hard I had to push but after about 6 min of drilling, stopping, cooling and drilling I finished the first hole. I continued to drill and completed 3 holes without any damage to the ceramic tile. The only problem was the drill got so hot I had to let it cool for several hours. I was concerned that the bit might be getting dull but used the same bit for the next hole, and the next hole and finally the last hole. Two sets of three holes each and no damage or cracking to the tiles. If you observe the attached picture the top bit has never been used and the bottom bit drilled six holes through the hardest ceramic tile I have ever come across. It took no longer to drill the last hole than the first. I see no significant wear on the bottom bit other than the coating being worn off. Whiteout reservation I wholeheartedly recommend these bits.

Great Quality!
We used the bit to drill into thick porcelain tile and the trick is to drill the hole while continuously spraying water. This makes is easier for drilling and keeps the tile from cracking. The quality of the bits seem really good!

Easy & Simple, Perfect to Add Drainage Holes to Plant Pots!
This was the first time I ever even held a power-tool in my hands and I have to say it was so easy to do! Simple to set up. Only applied a small amount of pressure as I drilled through the pots and it worked great. Some of the glaze did chip off as seen in the second picture, but considering it's on areas that won't be regularly seen as it sits upright I'm not bothered by it at all. I did include a picture of what the drill bit looks like after using it, just to show the wear of it. I'm not sure to how much that speaks to the longevity of it but I included it regardless so it can be seen. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to add drainage holes to their plant pots!

Cheap bits, but not the most durable.
I was only able to drill a couple holes in ceramic wall tile before the tip on the one side totally broke off. It was to be expected with a set of bits this cheap.

Cut through ceramic subway tile like butter
Bit worked great medium speed and some painters tape no cracks clean drill. Did not use but for four screws so can't speak to longevity.

They work really well.
My wife wanted two china cups and a vase to be drilled for dranage holes so she could plant cactii in them. I started with the 6mm bit on two of them and finnished off with the 8mm, filled the cups with water to lube and keep cool. The last one I just used the 8mm drill. It took 15 minutes to do all three. The only wear I can see is the black paint is worn off the tip. I don't need to buy again. I would definatley recomend these. Just take your time and use water to lube and cool. I used a battery drill. If using a 230v drill with water, make sure you have an RCD in the circuit. Don't rush. Happy wife, happy life. Now just need to mow the lawn, fix the................

Did the job, but takes a while
I can’t compare these to any other brands I’ve used but they seem to work and do the job. They take some time and I broke some glass vases in the process but you have to play around with how much pressure to apply. I found that alternating with water worked well especially once you really start drilling. Takes about 15-20 mins or so to drill through glass. Maybe they aren’t as sharp as others but they did the job
