The media could not be loaded. This unit is amazing! I placed it in my old gel fuel fireplace, fit perfect. It is in my sunroom, where we also have our dinning table. It was an absolute hit with my guests. I have only used the flame effect, but it puts off enough heat that it warmed my 20x10 room. I only used the white rocks, I like the white light effect. Runs quietly. For the price, we are very pleased. The unit does not come with a remote, that would have been nice, but well worth the price.

It does a terrific job in a 14’ X 17’ room with a 4’ opening to a hallway and a 8’ opening to the dining room. Very satisfied with heat output, appearance and comfort.

This is a nice looking fireplace but that's the only positive thing I can say. I've owned a few of these portable fireplaces and this one was the most expensive, so I expected heat output to be at least as good if not better. Unfortunately, it put out very low heat. There's an optional 1500w, higher heat setting but I never had to go that far with other fireplaces. I tested the 1500w setting on others and it tripped my house's circuit breaker - power went out in the room. With this fireplace, I feel forced to go up to 1500w but hesitate because I'm worried the power will go out in the room. I'm going to try it and make sure nothing else in the room is plugged in but even if that works, it sucks knowing all I can do is sit in a room and stair at the wall because the TV, receiver, etc. can't be on at the same time.The remote control feature on this fireplace was an important part of my decision to buy it. With the other fireplaces I've owned, the buttons on the unit itself eventually broke or the door panel started to rattle. I really wanted to be able to use a remote, so I don't have to wear out the buttons or the door panel. The remote didn't work! I tried two different sets of brand new batteries. The light at the top of the remote lights up when pressing a button but no reaction from the furnace. All tests were done within 2-6ft of the unit. Very disappointing.

Puts off a lot of heat, and looks nice. My only complaint is that all the heat comes out from the top. I wish it had side or front vent. I’m obviously not an engineer or electrician, so there might be a reason for not having these…just wishful thinking..I’m still happy with the purchase.

Update: We tried left it plugged in after activating the return. A family member clicked the high button at dinner time. Heard a sputter and it started working again. The heat feature warmed the entire front part of the apartment. Mind you we have no heat. So it was very cold. Took about 3 hours but it totally worked. We must have a dud. We won't be repurchasing due to the lower end materials but if it had metal legs and more durable plastic, I'd definitely buy this in the future.Original review:I don't mind lower quality products as long as they are built decent and seem relatively durable. This was not the case.Cons:Unfortunately arrived with a broken handle.Door magnets were attached wrong and nothing fit properly. Tried to fix it but still made the magnets snap weird and unevenly which will get annoying when you pull the handle.Door handle is terribly cheap plastic and for the amount of use it will need to get to swing open the door constantly to access the panel- not worth the annoyance. THeat output was great for the first 30 minutes but it smelled like burning plastic which I figured would go away. And it did after 15 minutes but....it stopped working. It's a nice fan now. Kind of confusing to have cold air with a "heat stove".I figure with the great reviews we either got a dud, return or a REALLY cheap imitation. I really love the look and the design. BUT the legs, door, handle and the top of the unit are crappy plastic for toys not to run a heating device. The lighting is beautiful and quite natural but this product wouldn't last long in my book.The remote control is honestly clunky and again, cheap. Buttons get stuck and it's a click system not digital so I can see this one not lasting. All in all, I hope they create a higher-end version of this product for the retail market as it has potential. But at this point, if you're on a low budget, really lucky, and care not for durability but everything "cute looks" for Instagram. Then, by all means, have at it. We've activated a return this item same day as delivered.I'm freezing my butt off and was really counting on having a good heater here. Should of gone with the American made one but I went for looks based on the great reviews this time. Oh well.

The media could not be loaded. I love the soothing fireplace feel and wanted something like this for my living room. It was easy to assemble and gives great light! The heat is strong if you want to use it for that but there are two separate buttons for power and heat separately. I’m obsessed! Highly recommend!

I absolutely love the look of this. It's perfect for a bedroom or if you have a bathroom with a large built in tub. It puts out very minimal heat, so it will only heat a very small room or if the room isn't very cold. The heat comes out of the top rather than the front, so it only heats well if it's placed in the floor or on a lower surface. My only real complaint with it is that it does not have a thermostat, so you have to turn it on and off.

So far this space heater works as expected. With a fairly small area to heat, it gives just the right amount of warmth. Doesn't need to run for long and can be turned off for awhile until needed again. The electronic fire brings a bit of coziness.
