Works perfectly, easy to adjust, compact
I've been trying to set up a mini home gym in my mini apartment, and had the feeling that the SWITMH's Mini Stair Steppers would be a perfect inclusion for working out my legs, especially while I work, read, or watch videos online. For my review, I'll start with the questions listed on the Amazon page:1) Does it require assembly? Other than hand-screwing the adjustment handle into the body, and the (optional) snapping the resistance bands, no. It arrives pre-assembled.What do customers think of it? Speaking just for myself, I have no complaints, whatsoever. It works as I expected.Does it make much noise during use? No, it's extremely quiet. Is its resistance adjustable for different intensities? Yes, by using the adjustment handle you screw in at the beginning. Once it's in deep enough you can add resistance by turning it to the right, and reduce resistance by turning to the left. Are its pedals slip-resistant and comfortable? Slip resistant, yes, thanks to the textured surface; however, that surface may also be uncomfortable for bare feet or thin socks. Booties, thicker socks, or sneakers would be better.Storing the item is easy also. If I set the pedals at an equal height & position, the height is 5-5/8" and the length, with the knob, is about 17". My dresser has a shoe rack at the bottom; if I really need to move it off the floor, it fits easily in there. Finally, I'll address some of the complaints by other reviewers:1) "The manual is hard to read/confusing." The language is translated from Chinese, so yes, it's imperfect; however, I don't think there's really no need for instructions since there's no real assembly and the adjustment knob was intuitive/obvious. Don't be deterred; it's clear enough to get you going, and if you're still confused, watch a video.2) "There is no way to adjust the tension." As I said, the knob affects both the pedal height and the tension.3) "The pedals are made of cheap plastic." That's not true. They are made of plastic, but they don't feel cheap at all to me. That said, there is a weight limit and/or abuse tolerance level to anything, and plastic will break. There is stated two levels of weight tolerance; 220 lbs and 330 lbs. I'm about 230 lbs, and I don't feel any threat of damage when using the product.I've just begun using it and since reducing the tension to a more moderate level, I've had no problems, no complaints. Well... except maybe pink isn't my preferred color, but what can you do? Sturdy, compact, works great... total recommendation!

Instructions for adjustment are really confusing
First off, this works. I recommend being near something you can grab onto if you lose balance, but as far as stepping goes, you can step all day long. This would be great if you use a stand up desk and want to get a little exercise in at the same time. There is no way to adjust the tension though. In other words, you cannot make it harder or easier to step. You can adjust the height that the steps move upward though. How to do this is terribly confusing in the manual. Basically, if you look underneath the device, there is a pulley that has a cable running through it to each of the steps. You have to lift both the steps all the way up as far as they go, and you will notice that the tension on the pulley drops. In other words, that wire running through the pulley goes loose. Once in this configuration, you can tighten the adjustment knob that is at the front of the device. Use a little force as the threads were done terribly. So, it felt like it was all the way in but a little more twisting power made it go further. This screw ends up pressing against the rod of the pulley where it goes into the device. The tighter (further in) you twist the adjustment knob, the higher the steps will go when you are using the device.I have included pictures of the entire device, and the pulley and adjustment knob that I refer to in the above explanation.

Gives a good workout
I am not an enthusiastic exerciser. It is boring to me. I have tried a lot of things, but nothing really did much for me and I give it up quickly. I wasn't sure if this would do much but I was wrong. After just a few minutes I can feel my muscles in my legs all the way up into the buttocks. So I don't have to exercise for a long time (which I don't have the interest for) and still feel the result. I am impressed. I fell a few years ago and broke my knee cap. Certain movements still hurt, like going up a staircase. The muscles around the knee, which you never realize you use with certain movements, aren't as strong. I noticed that using this stepper helps with strengthening these muscles and those movements don't hurt as much anymore. I think my knee will feel completely normal if I continue exercising with this stepper. It definitely helps with firming up the leg muscles. I feel the leg muscles more after just a few minutes than walking for 20-30 minutes. I am glad I got this, and it also doesn't use up much space. I don't want to fill up my rooms with big equipment, especially if I don't use them.

Perfect Compact Stepper for a Great Home Workout!
This mini stepper is a fantastic addition to my home office workout routine! I spend more than 8 hours a day sitting in front of a computer, and I was considering getting a walking pad, but then I found this mini stepper and decided to give it a try. It mimics a real stepper perfectly, and when I followed a YouTube workout, I was able to get a great cardio session right at home. The resistance bands are a nice bonus for adding upper body exercises, making it a full-body workout. It’s easy to use, and the LCD monitor is helpful for tracking my progress. What I love most is how little space it takes up. I can keep it in my home office without it being in the way, and I can get my step count in while working from home every day. It’s sturdy and has a 330 lbs weight capacity, which is great for different fitness levels. The workout is effective, and it really gets my heart pumping, even in short bursts throughout the day. I highly recommend this stepper for anyone looking for a simple but effective way to stay active!

Simple work out
I can use this stepper while watching TV or working and I can really feel the burn. I like to also use weights for my arms so that I get a full body workout.
