I already know more than 95% of the words in this book
This vocabulary book is excellent for high school or college students preparing for standardized tests such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. I'm over 60 years old and still want to improve my working vocabulary. However, through daily living and reading over the past 60 years, I already know most of the words in this book's extensive vocabulary list. If I had known that, I wouldn't have bought this book. For more erudite adults, "The Words You Should Know to Sound Smart" by Robert Bly or "LSAT Vocabulary Workbook: Learn the key words of the LSAT Exam" by Lewis Morris are far better vocabulary builder books since they include more obscure words than this workbook.

A Transformative Resource for Vocabulary
One of the things I loved most about this book is its clarity and accessibility. Each word is presented with a clear definition, pronunciation guide, and example sentences that illustrate its use in everyday language. This makes the learning process not only effective but also enjoyable. The words chosen are relevant and useful, ensuring that learners are equipped with a vocabulary that is both impressive and applicable in real-world scenarios. I found myself being more mindful of my everyday vocabulary because of this book, highly recommend!

Pretty Good
I got this for a friend who's working on learning English, and they said they got a lot out of it. When skimming through the pages, it looks like a fairly standard workbook (and there are certainly a lot of words covered in detail). The only thing I didn't like so much was the order in which material was presented. The workbook runs straight into complex business terms, where I feel like it might be more valuable to start with something like clothing. Maybe Duolingo has spoiled me, though.
