An interesting plastic rivet gun for cloth
I did not understand this device for a long time until I finally sat down and examined the instructions very closely. They are not well-written, and even the word “Instructions” is spelled incorrectly at the top of the page. The gun comes with the needle pre-attached. It is protected under a white plastic covering which has a string attached to it so the cover won’t get lost. There is a little lever that tightens and loosens the tip’s grip on the needle. When the ball of the lever points towards the back of the gun (they call it 9:00), it is tight. If you turn it to point to the front of the gun (3:00), it will be loose and you can remove the needle. In the bag with the plastic stitching material there is an extra needle. So, first, just remove the white plastic tip and reveal the needle. If the little ball on the tiny lever isn’t facing the back, turn it so it is.Then you put the plastic stitching strip into the top of the gun - there is a slightly longer nub on one end that goes into the hole at the top of the gun. It’s pretty easy to see where it goes. The gun makes tiny plastic rivets (as seen in the 3rd photo) that hold the fabric together. All of the rivets are of equal length, so you can’t expect a really tight seam to be created. It’s really just going to hold the two pieces of fabric together loosely and, most likely temporarily. I tried it on a ripped sleeve of a (dirty) shirt and it did hold the rip together. It does not look great, nor will it likely last all that long, but in a pinch, you could definitely use this to make a hem or make a ripped cloth hold together. While the instructions are pretty bad, once you get the idea of how it works, it’s a very straightforward process to use it, and I know very little about sewing. This might be useful when setting up clothing for alterations. You could set up the seam, sew it, and the remove the tiny rivets with a pair of scissors or a nail clipper.

Disappointing
I had high hopes, but I wnded up very disappointed. It left a loose gap and the "stitch" was very visible on my clothes. It was a waste of money.

Impressed
Such a handy little tool to have on hand. I don't know how it will hold up in the washing machine with the agitator but it's saved a rushed morning more than a few times.
