I needed a teether for my nephew that he would not drop on trip since we would not be able to sterilize it frequently. This one fit the bill because its like a racoon grabbing a marble in box, if he lets go, then the outer mitten keeps it around the writs and allows free movement of fingers without falling off. it also gives an easy bar across to grasp and pull and chew. the arms and ears of the little bear design are solidly in place and no worries about chewing them off. I will probably give this to the dog when he is finished with it as its pretty indestructible.If you look at the picture you can see how the hole provides a way to easily put hand in and out and grip it from different angles..total width is about 4.5 inches from paw to paw and about 2 inch opening at bottom and 1.5 inches front/back.The paws are 5/8 in or so wide.Hope this helps someone.

Great teether. My baby loves it and it's so good for him. Easy to hold and helps with his gums. I had a small issue with the color but they after speaking with the manufacturer they offered to help me right away. Customer service was the greatest. Yes, strongly recommend it!

I ordered this as a baby shower gift. When I got it I thought I had ordered the wrong thing. However just to make sure I asked my daughter and she told me it was adorable and perfect. That it covers the babies hand so they do not suck on their hand.I am 61 and had never seen anything like it. I am so glad I checked before returning it.The person I gave it to as art of their gift was very pleased.
