Does not work as advertised
The strut is no where near strong enough to support the tailgate on my 2013 and the way they decided to attach it to the tail gate side is lack luster as best. Do not recommend this kit

Instructions are crap
Solid little kit but instructions suck .and nothing was the size they said it was . Few extra trips to the toolbox but easy enough to installMay need to change out the shock in the future helps with lowering the tailgate but no help raising it

Easy to install. Directions are a bit vague and the size of tools needed outlined in the directions are incorrect.

Unfortunate
Worked amazing for 2 days then the shock unthreded it self and fell of the truck somewhere on the road im assuming. The nut cert gets loose often and needs to be tightened… needs lock tight if you buy this.

Broke the first time using it !
Very light duty.Would not recommend!Waste of money 💰The piece that attached to the tailgate is a bad design it is not strong enough to hold the weight of the gate ... I don't think the manufacturer tested the product?
