A favorite since childhood!
Have loved this hot cereal since childhood back in the 1960’s! Growing up in the Midwest, my mom made sure our breakfast included a steaming bowl of hot cereal on frigid winter mornings. A bowl of this is almost like being able to get a hug from my mom again. There is always a box of Malt-O-Meal (along with oatmeal and Cream of Wheat!) in our pantry. It’s warm, soothing, and wholesome, (which is even more important now since the world is turned upside down with the pandemic). Definitely going through this faster than usual with all of us home on quarantine. Glad we were able to get extra boxes here, as our Publix was sold out. I enjoy mine with a sprinkle of brown sugar and maple syrup. My husband likes his with sliced bananas.

Post Consumer is New Name for Post Cereal
Was worried when I saw manufacturer is Post Consumer. Yikes. But read about Post Consumer, and it's located in mid-West and seems to be new name for old familiar Post Cereal company. Guess this is the same stuff mom made for me in the cold mid-West winters of 1960s. Tastes good.

Malt O Flavor
I have always loved Malto Meal since I was a child—fed it to my children as well since they were able to eat—nutritious and delicious especially on cold mornings

Winter Treat
Malt-O-Meal is affordable, fast & easy to prepare, filling, and perfect on a cold morning. I use a whisk and stir constantly during the 2 minutes it takes. I pour it over a tablespoon of butter and top with a tablespoon of heavy cream. Very difficult to find in a store.

Fine product, leaky packaging.
Malt-O-Meal must be managed by two people, one in charge of product quality (who does a fine job), and the other (in charge of packaging) who seems to have learned his management style from U.S. auto manufacturers in the mid-1960s. The result is that the packaging leaks, which for years I have made less irritating by resting the box in an open zip-lock bag held up by a rubber band. I speculate that the leaky packaging may be an underlying cause explaining why the product is no longer stocked by Target.I blend the product with oatmeal because Malt-O-Meal has a higher iron content, and the result is tasty. I have done this for years, during which the product has been consistently good and the packaging consistently defective.

LOVE my Malt-O-Meal
My five children grew up eating Malt-0-Meal for breakfast and was so disappointed when I could no longer find it on store shelves which only carried instant in individual packets. My husband and I enjoy a big bowl cooked in milk and sweetened with dark brown sugar along with cinnamon toast.
