I have no hot water in my house and got this as a stop gap, cannot be happier with it!

Life Saver!
Our hot water heater went out and we got this (we were having to boil water for baths… it was a whole thing). Easy to set up, we put the unit outside on our enclosed back porch and ran the line in through the bathroom window. I was very impressed! Water was very warm!

Works great but you have to tune it for different flow rates.
I have been using tankless water heaters for some time and I really like this one because it has been very reliable, but it has some issues.Installation is a breeze, 1/2" braided hoses work great for install, there have been no leaks and the unit works reliably every time.Problem is flow rate. I tuned the temp of the unit to the shower and it works fine and delivers great temp, however my sink flows more hot water. When I turn my sink on a little the unit will not fire up and deliver cold water, turn it on full blast and the water is lukewarm.I have found that the heater will deliver various water temperatures based on flow rates of water fixtures. The only to fix this is make sure all your appliances have matching hot water flow rates which is not very practical.

Very happy
What an amazing feeling to have a hot shower at my off grid cabin after a day of hard work. I use mine inside my cabin but have a little DC fan that blows above it to vent. TBH, for short uses, there's really no problem with using it inside.Very happy with the quality of this unit. It fires right up and produces VERY hot water very quickly. I also really like the quality of the shower head, and that the shower head itself has a shut-off and -on valve. Good for water saving, since my water is rain collection. There are three ways to control the temperature of the water: 1. the seasonal knob (winter/summer) 2. the flame controller, and 3. the water controller. The good news is that it produces VERY hot water, def hot enough for your coffee, or soup, etc. But by turning the seasonal knob to summer, turning the flame down, and turning the water output up, you can get it down to just above luke-warm.I'm glad I didn't save $20 by buying a cheaper one. Great investment.

This is a fantastic product!
We have one shower at home and are remodeling and this has been a life saver! It sets up really easy! The temperature controls are great and it heats up instantly! Comes with a couple different fittings. It's compact and great quality! This has been a life saver! One small piece of advice is to use tephlon on any connections as it does leak a little. Other than that, this product is fantastic!! Highly recommend!

WORST customer service and faulty product!
I purchased this unit in April, then used it about 2-4x/mo for the next 5 months and it worked great. Loved it. And just like that, the temp wouldn't go above 95. Next time I tried to use the unit, the ignition failed. I replaced batteries per instruction manual, it worked to ignite but temperature never got over 101. Next time I attempted to use it, no ignition. Bought another set of batteries and replaced. Finally, it ignited but temp is still at 101 and won't go higher. Despite several calls to Gasland, I've never been able to reach a live body. Multiple messages left, no response. Yes, I was polite when I left messages! Also attempted to contact via chat on their website at Gaslandchef.com, and again, no response whatsoever. I also had difficulty when I ordered the unit from Amazon. There was a HUGE delay in shipping the unit to begin with. BUYER BEWARE with this company. And it's still under manufacturer warranty and I bought an extended warranty through Amazon, which doesn't do a bit of good if you can't reach the company! Massive fail, gasland. I will never purchase any of your products again.UPDATE: After the company (Gasland) saw this review, I was contacted immediately! They sent a replacement propane line with regulator, and a replacement water line/shower head. This did not resolve the problem. I still can't get a temp above 95 degrees. I also had to ask which shipping method they were using to send the parts; no confirmation email with tracking numbers were sent until I asked for them. I was told UPS for one but the sent the other view USPS. Confusing business practices to say the least. The tech I talked to was not very helpful and made it seem like the issues were all my fault. Note: the water line and shower head are made of cheap plastic! I am now asking for a complete replacement unit, as this is still under the 1 yr manufacturer warranty, in addition to the extended warranty I purchased through Amazon.UPDATE #2: Gasland finally sent me a replacement unit, which arrived with a damaged box and evidence that this was a "reshipped" item. Once opened, the inner box that contains tools and fittings was opened, there was a hole in that box as well, and the fittings/tools were loose in the main box. After setting this "replacement" unit up, it still won't go above 100 degrees with water at lowest setting (basically just a trickle and not a usable shower stream) and propane set on high. I contacted the company by phone and was told to send original invoice, extended warranty info, as well as photos from the damaged box! I guess they don't care that this replacement unit didn't work as it should either. If there were "Amazon Police" I'd send them after this company. Don't bother with this product or anything else made by Gasland.

Quick and easy to use
It has worked perfect for us. We lost water from the hurricane and now we are going to use it for our mud room/dog wash.

Hot water for outdoor bathing
I've used this unit for almost two years now and it's been great. I even use it in the winter in -20C, though I'm careful to quickly disconnect the hoses and propane before bringing it back into the house before it freezes. In the summer, it provides enough hot water for a shower or bath, though I haven't tried both. In winter my water is around 2C and with the flow trickled down almost all the way on the dial, it keeps water at 115f on the display which is good enough to keep the outdoor bath warm. Takes longer to fill the bath in the winter but no complaints and zero issues with this unit. It even has overheat protection, as seen when it shutoff when a hose was kinked and the flow became a trickle making the water shoot up in temperature.

Works great! Easy to install! Worth every penny!
Awesome little water heater.Everything was in the package, all CSA approved fittings and adapters. Instruction manual was in english. No problems.Tip***If you are using a garden hose for water supply and your hose to the heater doesn’t have a swivelling adapter, get one or attach a quick connnect to it. This way you do not have to twist the hose trying to attach it.The package has nice brass adapters but they do not swivel.Set up was a breeze! The unit itself is super light and hangs on the wall with two screws. When you are set up and want to turn the unit on, just turn on the shower head, unit lights by itself and starts heating within 10 seconds. Water is HOT so don’t be standing under it when you turn it on.I found if you turn the water all the way down and the gas to about halfway it lights best. Let it warm up for a minute and then you can adjust pressure and heat.Fittings all fit snug and O-rings are supplied. You may need them, you may not, but they are included. I used one for the garden hose in, and one for the shower hose in. I also used a little teflon tape. All snug, no leaks.Wrenches are supplied but I found a good hand tighten was enough.Keeping it on the winter setting seems to work best. Still uses next to no propane.I won’t be leaving it outside during the winter...I would be more worried about my water line freezing than the unit itself. That being said, I leave it outside in the rain and have had no problems. The shower head is a little cheap and leaks somewhat when on. The spray is really fine and the head is supposed to turn to give you more option but it barely works and will most likely split as soon as it gets cold.Get another shower head with a shut off option. The shower hose is metal and is great but is attached to the head itself, which is very cheap plastic. It doesn’t warrant losing a star in the rating....you’re buying the heater, not the shower head. For the price of this thing it works amazingly well.HIGHLY RECCOMENDEDI did a ton of research ahead, reviews from multiple sources and all kinds of articles and youtube clips on installations. This one was by far the best, most economical and trouble free.I’m in Ontario, Canada and it was at my door in two days. Well done.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Turns cold water into hot water
The media could not be loaded. Edit February 2024.Well, the shower finally died over the harsh winter. It had been drained (perhaps not well enough) and it appears that the extremely cold temps just broke it. Our drained 12v water pump also froze solid and broke so that was a shame. As other reviewers have noted, while this unit does have protection against freezing weather, it isn't completely fool proof. As for its sturdiness otherwise, it's pretty robust. Ours got dropped from about 4 feet up and landed on its side, slightly denting one of the grills and it worked fine for a year afterwards. In hindsight we probably should have done a better job of winterizing it. Not deducting a star and we have re-ordered the same unit.Edit March 2023: The video and review below was written in February 2022. The shower is still going strong. It's been left outside (wrapped in a plastic bag when not in use) for over a year in all weather conditions. Drained it during freezing months and used it periodically through the winter - works like a champ. I would highly recommend this unit. This thing works. The video is for a brief demonstration only, but I was using a 12v water pump drawing water from a 5 gallon container. If you're using it completely off grid, as we are, you'll need a water source and a pump. The pump in the video is an Eccotemp EccoFlo Diaphram 12v water pump (45psi, 3.5 amps) and strainer. This particular pump - as I'm sure with other similar ones - can self-prime about 30 feet horizontally and 6 feet vertically, so you don't need to have the pump below your water source. The pump also comes with battery clamps so you can attach it to a regular 12v battery. I use a connector that has a cigarette style 12v connection that you can put into the DC output of a solar power station, for example. In my case, I'm using a Jackery 500.With the water pressure on the heater turned down low, the pump doesn't struggle, and it draws about 90 watts of power. With 45psi being about average water pressure for an outdoor faucet like you might find at a campground, you shouldn't have any trouble using a 12v pump like this. Also, while this heater indicates it will work with just 2.5psi of water pressure (which is pretty much the pressure you'll get from gravity if you elevated your water source approximately 6 feet above the water heater without a pump) I'd recommend a pump anyway.I'm also using some 1/2 inch braided nylon tubing and brass hose fittings to connect the pump and the heater together (e.g. a 1/2 inch hose should provide ample water flow whether you're using a pump or connecting it to a faucet). The water heats up within about 3-4 seconds and the shower head produces a nice powerful stream. It appears to be a non-adjustable shower head, but that's OK.One final thing I would add if you are using this heater off grid and pumping well water directly, or from a rainwater collection tank, is to use a water filtration system between the pump and the shower. This could be an inline hose filter such as you might use for your RV (as long as it had a good enough flow rate). All in all this model is more than sufficient for showering and incidental hot water needs such as doing the dishes - I just crank up the heat and spray water into our washing up bowl.

Very easy to install and setup,
Easy temperature control, good supply of hot water
C**.
Easy to set up
When hooked up to city water and the flow is on max it only gets to about 90. Turn the flow down it gets hotter. But for what it is I am happy with it.
