Just the job and so compact you don’t need a massive base with this

Works well with both our beach parasol and my fishing umbrella. Sturdy and well made. Would recommend. Does depend on what type of ground you are putting it in.

Chose two of these to use on our lawn, as I wanted to be able to manoeuvre garden tables for a family gathering. Original bases were old plastic and needed replacing and destroyed the grass. They needed to be weighted with sand or water, which also made them difficult to move. (I have rheumatoid arthritis, so particularly relevant to me).I managed to push the spike into ground with my foot, though my husband used a mallet when he did the other one. Mine held the umbrella and pole in place, but also enabled me to relocate the spike to another part of the garden when i needed to use with the garden table. Great purchases, I think.

Ever been stuck in the park on a hot sunny day with nowhere to hide from the rays? This is the perfect solution for using the beach umbrella and surprisingly works! Easy to stick in the ground and definitely strong and stable.

Failed within 2hrs, slight breeze toppled the umbrella it was holding, spike broke.Great idea but just not strong enough sadly.
