Perfect fit, easy to install

Strut is longer than the original
The strut is definitely not a direct replacement on an E46 M3. It is a bit to long which makes the trunk open uncomfortably wide (very close to rear window) and ended up damaging the rubber stoppers that are on the trunk. They also make the trunk slam down hard while closing. I still gave it 3 stars because they aren't poorly made by any means, they just aren't a perfect replacement for OE. I should have known when I had to compress them by hand just to install them because they are too long. Do yourself a favor and get the Stabilus struts that are in fact OE.
