The only instructions you get is a piece of paper with diagrams of different fixtures (depends on which one you bought). Picture was so blurry and there was no marking. No installation steps included. The back metal plate that is attached to the wall has many holes and yet I was not able to match any to my electric box. The worst part is trying to figure out how to screw the light to the metal plate. Since there was no instruction included I had to play with different ways to do it and settled with inserting the screw behind the plate going out and through the black fixture then use the plastic circle cover to tighten both sides. If you screw too much there will be a gap between the wall and the fixture. It was so frustrated figuring out what the best way to do it. After 30 mins I just decided to drill a hole in the wall behind each screw and just push the screw into it. It's a nice fixture but instructions was not useful at all.

This is a pretty good light for the most part. I think my favorite thing about it is the fact that the bulb is covered by the glass and the light is forced upwards so I'm not blinded while standing at the kitchen sink yet there's still plenty of light. Having said that it's hard to get the bulb in (if you use led bulbs you should only have to deal with that hassle once a decade though so no big deal, right?! lol). Aside from that there are a few things worth mentioning...For starters, the listing doesn't specify whether the length is adjustable or not so I took the risk and thankfully it is. There are actually three rods that when used together give a total length of 44" - I only needed to use one because that was plenty for me when added to the height of the actual fixture.Second, the glass is a white swirl not pure white (not a huge deal to me but maybe to some).Lastly, the metal itself is textured, not smooth and since the black paint seems to have been used sparingly there are places where the textured metal shows through making it ook like it's got little patches of white dots. This is ONLY noticeable when you look at it up close though. When it hangs from the ceiling it actually looks pretty nice and you can't tell. Overall, I like it and would buy it again.

Very nice looking light fixture expecialy considering the price. Looks really great in our smallish dinning room, light is very bright, used three 13 watt flouresent bulbs. The instructions were atrocious. I am an Automotive Technician of 45 years so I have seen my share and then some of POS instructions, you know translated from Chinese to Korean to English by an Italian..............lots lost in the translation. These were especially poor with a lot of info missing, finally threw them out and figured it out myself. The one serious knock was how the shade is attached. They use a hollow threaded tube commen to light fixtures and this assembley comes with 3 of them, one for the ceiling mounting, the other for the top of the light and the last to hold the shade in place........and no I didn't get them mixed up as the longest one sent with the light was still too short. I had a 3 foot long piece that I was able to cut the appropriate length (4 3/4 inchs) instead of 4 inch. I have all the tools I need at my disposal so it was no big deal, but it could be for someone else. Took me about 75 minutes to install, including making a new part.

We were pleasantly surprised with this light. The color of the fixture is accurate when compared with the photo on Amazon, but I was nervous because the picture on the actual box shows a light brown metal. It looks really nice when installed and seems high quality. It has three standard size sockets and is pretty bright. I agree with another reviewers comment that the instructions were awful but we were able to figure out how to put it together pretty easily. I didn't have to cut or adjust any pieces unlike a previous reviewer though (with the exception of the chain and wire that it hangs on). The glass bowl had a slight blemish but there is a sheet in the box saying you can call the company for a free replacement if your glass arrives broken.

Gorgeous and gives off a nice amount of light with the 3 bulbs. Pretty easy to install also, if you're not tired from a full day of DIY home improvement-ing. We used this to replace an old chandelier and the plate that hides the cable box was too small compared to the one the old chandelier used, so that gave me some issue simply because I didn't pay attention to that when buying. Wasn't a problem really, ended up just using the piece from the old chandelier, and it looks lovely.

Giving this one a lower rating because of the installation. This light was not simple to install. The instructions were lacking and the ones that were there were a bit confusing (not even a mention of putting the dome on the bottom, although that part was easy). Also there were a lot of washers and nuts left over, with no indication of how to include them in the assembly. After installing, it hung crooked, and I had to take it down again and discovered that the parts which came already assembled had been done crookedly and a metal part of the light bulb housing had been dented. The connection for the dome was off center about a half inch from the center rod. I had to loosen the bulb housing so that it would hang more in line, and also hammer the metal that was dented it until it was straight, and then bend the curving arms outward several times and continue adjusting until it could hang without being completely off center. Otherwise it is a lovely light, and all the parts are sturdy. The light bulbs are easily accessible for changing.

These were the least inexpensive black light fixtures I could find for sale to replace the old, rusty, outdated ones around my house. They look great! My only wish is the tip/end of these fixtures were less pointy and round. Preferred if they were just flat.

These lights are OK. They're not high quality, but they work and look good.
