This is a great book.
I use it all the time. I have found information on almost every western tv show I have heard of and several I hardly had known about. The size makes unhandy for reading in bed but that is the only bad thing I can think of.

If you are a western tv fan,you will enjoy this book. All the episodes of every western from THE GENE AUTRY SHOW to THE BIG VALLEY and even after that.Plots and guest stars of every show make it a great reference book. The only thing missing is a picture of each western, but of course you can find that on WIKIPEDIA.Remember that episode of THE VIRGINIAN with BETTE DAVIS.No but you will find out that it's from season 1 if you consult that book.

TV Westerns
You can't find a better episode guide that this publication. I was unaware of the multitude of westerns of the 50's and 60's and the book is of great value for that fact alone. The arrangement is alphabetical by series name and is very easy to read and follow. I highly recommend for all western lovers.

For Western trivia addicts
Being a Western fan since childhood (I’m now 71!), I highly recommend this book. It is definitely a trip down Memory Lane for anyone who grew up during the Westerns’ heyday. Even if one is new to the genre, it is fascinating to realize how many actors—such as Charles Bronson and James Coburn—got their start in these weekly programs, and how many film stars—Bette Davis and Rhonda Fleming—wound up being featured as well. Air dates and episode summaries are included, and I would have liked a list of writers and directors too. Being a teenager in the 1960s, I recalled that JFK’s funeral preempted a Wagon Train episode. Sure enough, the book shows a gap in the late November 1963 air dates. In any case, this book is for trivia addicts and can be a fitting companion to viewers of Encore’s Western Channel.

Wonderful Book for TV Western Lovers
This is a very comprehensive book, covering every episode imaginable. It's easy to navigate and fun to read. The amount of research that went into this project must have been huge.

This book is excellent
This excellent and stupendous TV western book should sit on everybody's shelf as the definitive reference guide to TV western series. It covers 181 TV series with their episode titles, transmission dates, cast lists and story synopsis. Its an invaluable piece of work, compulsive reading, well researched and documented and a fascinating journey from 1949 to 1996. This book is highly recommended and does not disappoint. If only OTHER TV genres had books like this that covers a series as this one does. It is one of the best American TV books I have read (along with Vincent Terrace's "Encyclopedia of TV Shows"). All guns blazing! A fan from England, UK.

TV Westerns Episode Guide
A lot of work has gone into this book, but, a number of westerns are missing considering it covers "all United States series 1949 - 1996". Just glancing through there are 7 missing of the top of my head. Also some are listed as "episode one""episode two" etc, which is a waste of time. Others have duplicate episodes listed, others have episodes missing. Odd episodes are listed from anthology series which had western episodes. Some series have a great deal included - others basic details. A bit more care and attention and this would have been a great book. However still a good reference book to have.
