I'm very happy with this product! It's easy to use, and I've cooked vegetables, fish, and chicken with great results. The three-tier stackable bowls make it convenient to steam different foods at once. I highly recommend it!

This is genious! It works amazingly every single time. Follow instructions and serve the food soon after the timed steam for best food eva! Easy clean up, set and forget ease. Nothing to rust or wear out. Timed steaming. Extremely safe to use. Easily feed family of four regular serving sizes. Weve had it over two years.

We've now had a few meals with steamed vegetables made in this and it works great. We wanted to add more vegetables to our diet. But frozen just leaves us lacking and other methods of preparation were more labor intensive. But once cleaned and cut to the desired size, we just load this up and set the timer. We've been a bit surprised at how much better the results taste than what we expected. The plastic pieces are a bit flimsy, but they work and should last with reasonable care.

I have purchased 2 of these steamers. I have really liked them because they are easy to use and consistent every time. Most things (potatoes, rice, eggs, etc) generally only take about 20 minutes and cooks perfectly. The digital screen is nice and the fact I can refill the water without removing the trays is good.However, I wish the quality of the plastic was better. I use it pretty frequently but with both I’ve had, the sides of the clear trays crack and the lid handles always break. My son had to 3D print me a new one (in purple) because the original one cracked and broke. There are also a lot of cracks underneath where the handle is. The clear trays are labeled “1” and “2”. If you use “2” for the bottom tray, it will leak water onto the counter because it’s slightly larger than “1”. So now that my “1” tray is cracked it’s virtually unusable unless I want to keep cleaning up water afterward. So overall good steamer but does have some issues.

Nice steamer for veggies. Can use a couple holders for steaming potatoes or even rice!

This is the second time I’ve bough this steamer. Simple set up and dishwasher safe. Makes cooking dinner and clean up with a little one very easy!

i had up until a few months ago, an older version of this steamer from 2013.. i loved it.. it worked great for nearly a decade until i accidentally allowed the cord to get close to a hot stove burner (when i unplugged the steamer) i was not confident in using it anymore, fearful that it had burned in too close to the wires so i tossed it and ordered a new one in august this year. it worked great up until this last week when i was steaming some cod, i came over to check on everything and there was water everywhere. i cleaned everything up (the fish cooked all the way thru) and dried the appliance off, but water was still leaking hard out of the bottom and the sides where the base and metal meet. i let it sit for this last week and today decided to test it and filled it to less than the max line and within a minute it was gushing again, i hadn't even plugged it in yet.i sent an email to hamilton beach, they have a limited guarantee on this item for 1 year, amazon has a 90 day policy (im just shy of 120 days) so im waiting for a response back from the manufacturer. im hoping it won't cost the equivalent for shipping a replacement as it would be to just buy a new one on amazon.im giving it 3 stars bcs cleaning it is easy, its versatile, and really easy to use. if it weren't for the leaking i would give it 5.i really like the HB steamers, they have been great for steaming veggies and fish but i may look for another brand, depending on what i hear back.

It works well but takes a bit of experimentation to get the cooking times right, especially when stacking more than one steamer bowl. I have found that putting vegetables requiring a longer cook time, like carrots, in the bottom bowl and others like green beans in the upper works best. It takes a while for the steam to saturate the lower bowl and travel to the upper. But once the optimum cooking time is determined, it does a perfect job. My only complaint is that is very light and feels cheap. The bottom plates for the bowls fit over plastic pins on the bowl base rims which hold them in place, but these seem quite fragile and I'm afraid they won't last very long. Also, the little water filling drawer is useless for all practical purposes, small and difficult to pull out, so I don't use it. It's just easier to fill the reservoir before mounting the bowls. The lighted water level indicator is great and the digital controls work very well. It also has rounded wells in the bottom plates for boiling eggs or supporting corn on the cob placed vertically for cooking. It is also quite versatile and can be configured to cook 2 or (with the third bowl) 3 items separately. For small single item cooking, a single bowl is fine. For large amounts, the bottom plate(s) can be removed from the upper bowl(s) to configure a single, large capacity steaming chamber. It is also quite easy to disassemble and clean.
